Then there's Sonic Generations, which isn't my favorite Sonic game, but it has INSANE Mods that's still going 11 years later, so Sonic Generations is easily a must have game. Then you'll have, IMO, the Sonic Adventure Trilogy. However there is a fan remake of the game that's still in development, but it's super good and you can download it for free. There is also Sonic 06, it's basically Sonic Adventure 3, but nobody wants to play that game as their first 3D Sonic game (sadly that was my first game ever). Idk about the problems that SA2 Battle has, tho.

The problem is with SA1 they use the inferior DX version, but you can easily fix that problem with the Better SA1 DX Mod available for download. But if you wanna go the free and better route try the decompiled versions for Sonic 1 and 2 on PC.įor the 3D games I would try Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2.

Well, Sonic Origins is coming out next year, so maybe wait for that version if you wanna experience the full Classic games except Mania officially.
